The .au Domain Administration (auDA) says the success of .au domains demonstrates the robust nature of Australia’s digital economy.
As we mentioned last Friday, the number of currently registered .AU domains has reached the 3 million milestone; although it has dipped to slightly under at the time of writing to 2,999,802.
The auspicious occasion gained the attention of Minister for Communications, Malcolm Turnbull.
"Australia, once remote, is one of the greatest beneficiaries of the Internet's annihilation of geography. Congratulations to auDA on this momentous milestone," he said.

The auDA is the policy authority and industry self-regulatory body for the .au domain space.
